Volunteer Spotlight 2009

On Wednesday, May 27th, the South Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® held its 3rd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. It was a wonderful event celebrating the contributions of our amazing volunteers. 

Congratulations to Arlene Saranik for her well-deserved win as 2009 Office Volunteer of the Year.  Arlene maintains regular office hours on Thursdays.  We always know she'll be coming in with a smile.  Arlene, a 16 year breast cancer survivor, serves as Co-Chair of our Volunteer Committee and participates annually in our Mall Registration Drive the week prior to the Komen South Florida Race for the Cure.

Volunteers like Arlene are really like family and are truly the strength of our Affiliate!  Congratulations Arlene!
